My work as exhibitions curator in charge of conceiving and organising various events and festivals.

tweakfest 2005 -2010

I was the curator of the Tweakfest Digital Culture & Lifestyle Festival, an immersive celebration of the intersection between technology, creativity, and modern living. In the heart of the digital realm, Tweakfest brings together innovators, artists, and enthusiasts to explore the ever-evolving landscape of our interconnected world. Tweakfest Digital Culture & Lifestyle Festival, where the boundaries between the virtual and the tangible blur, and the future of digital living unfolds before your eyes. It's not just a festival; it's a glimpse into the limitless possibilities of our interconnected future. Fotostream

tweakfest 2007

Digital Culture & Lifestyle Festival, Zurich, May 25, 2007 - Zurich Switzerland

Mission Eternity Sarcophagus / Etoy Corporation / Tweakfest 2007

I curated Etoy's Mission Eternity sarcophagus for Tweakfest 2007 in Zurich. The Mission Eternity Sarcophagus is a mobile sepulcher for users who prefer to be buried at an indeterminate geographical location. The mobile cemetery tank is a 20 foot ISO standard cargo container, equipped with an immersive LED screen o 17’000 pixels that cover the walls, ceiling and floor on which the visitors can walk. At Tweakfest 2007 Etoy integrated the first mortal remains of a Mission Eternity test pilot. In an online voting, Etoy Shareholders decided to integrate the controversial thinker and pioneer Timothy Leary into Mission Eternity.

tweakfest 2010 - TRADE

Digital Culture & Lifestyle Festival, 22. - 23 April 2010 - Zurich Switzerland

The theme of trade and its consequences.

I curated the whole "trade" exhibition, I came up with a teaser to make people aware of our festival: Beggar Robot.

Beggar Robot
Artist rented the Beggar Robot to the real beggars that could use the machine to do the dirty work of collecting money instead of them. Because of the symbolist –aesthetic categories of the robot it has advantages compared with human beggar, because it can enter into spaces that are off limit to real beggars. But video doesn’t shows only problems of certain groups of people that exist on the margins of society- robot also presents a strategy of improvement of beggar conditions, higher efficiency, higher viability, essentially it shows the problems of modern society, that concern everyone not just beggars. As a machine built out of computer parts recycled from the ever-growing electronic junkyards, the robot (B) also bears an environmental consciousness for a world dominated by the ideology of endless development. Moreover, the robot (C) advocates the concepts of open source and do-it-yourself tactics and their consequences for social action, by allowing people to freely make their own copy of the robot. Anyone interested in obtaining the instructions of how to build their own robot replica can leave a contact with the robot, or go to the artist’s website.

Zurich-WEST-performance.

After three years of intensive construction work, the new Zurich-West tram line connects District 5 with the city. To celebrate this milestone in urban development, the canton and city of Zurich are inviting the public to a festival on 10 December 2011. On behalf of tweakfest, Noyau, a well-known illustrator from Zurich, will sketch the audience during the various concerts on the main stage in Tram Depot Escherwyss. Pierre Rebetez, founder and owner of headbanger.ch and art director of tweakfest, mixes the various sketches live. Snapshots consisting of audience portraits will be created. People will recognise themselves on the big screen and can view and download their live video portraits on tweakfest.ch/zuerich-west afterwards.
